How do I check the Status of my License?

Visit the Washington State Department of Health website, Here: https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/providercredentialsearch/

The credential search type is "Nursing Assistant Certification" -NC. Then type in your last name and first name.

 

How do I transfer my license to Oregon?

In Washington State there is only a CNA License, whereas in Oregon there is CNA 1 and CNA 2. Washington States CNA License is equivalent of Oregons CNA 1. Click the link below to go to the OSBN website to get the paperwork to transfer your license to Oregon.

How do I check the status of my State Test?

To view your exam results, log into your personal account you created with Pearson Vue when you scheduled your exam by clicking the link below.

  • Type in your username and password you created
  • Once on the homepage, under important message, click the link that says " Click here to to schedule your Nurse Aide Examinations".
  • Click on Exam History
  • Exam status is listed

If you dont remember your username and password, click on the link that says "Click here to recover your account."

  • Type in your last name and email address. It will ask you to answer your security questions before a recovery link is sent to your email
  • If you cannot remember the asnwers to your security questions, you will need to contact Pearson Vue customer service for assistance resetting your account at 1-888-252-8712

What is the average salary for a CNA in the state of Washington?

Washington State CNA’s make an average of $30,650 a year, and upwards to $34,726 depending on experience and where the CNA works.

 

How many hours are required to receive a certificate of completion?

You will need at least 85 hours. However, our program is 87 hours, 37 Class/Lab hours along with 50 Clinical hours.

 

Is there reimbursement for the cost of the CNA Training?

There is reimbursement if the student is available if a student has been working at a Long-Term Care facility within 12 months of completing the Training. The employer will reimburse the employee on a quarterly basis, therefore every three months you should receive 25% of the tuition cost. If you only work for the Long-Term Care facility for 6 months, you are only entitled to 50% of the tuition cost.

 

What is the dress code for the CNA School?

The first couple day’s attire is casual, after that we require students to wear scrubs that are Navy Blue or Light Pink with no designs. If you need help finding out where to buy scrubs, we recommend "Dress code."  for a map and contact information. If you mention you are taking "Mary Ann's" they will give you a 10% discount.

 

Are there any other fees that I will have?

You will pay an additional $110 to the State for testing and an addition $65 to the State for your license.

 

Does Mary Ann’s CNA Training School offer job placement?

We do not provide direct job placement, but with Mary Ann’s 30 plus years experience as an instructor we have worked with over 50 facilities that call us on a weekly basis and let us know how many CNA’s they are hiring. On top of the 50 facilities we also work directly with three private in home care agencies that are always looking for CNA’s.
