How do I check the Status of my License?

Visit the Washington State Department of Health website, Here: https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/providercredentialsearch/

The credential search type is "Nursing Assistant Certification" -NC. Then type in your last name and first name.

 

How do I transfer my license to Oregon?

In Washington State there is only a CNA License, whereas in Oregon there is CNA 1 and CNA 2. Washington States CNA License is equivalent of Oregon's CNA 1. For further information, go to the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) website to get the paperwork to transfer your license to Oregon.

What is the average salary for a CNA in the state of Washington?

Washington State CNA’s make an average of $34,768 a year, and upwards to $42,787 depending on experience and where the CNA works.

 

How many hours are required to receive a certificate of completion?

Our program is 85 hours; 35 Live Zoom or Classroom hours, 10 Lab hours along with 40 Clinical hours.

 

Is there reimbursement for the cost of the CNA Training?

There is reimbursement if the student is available if a student has been working at a Long-Term Care facility within 12 months of completing the training. The employer will reimburse the employee on a quarterly basis, therefore every three months you should receive 25% of the tuition cost. If you only work for the Long-Term Care facility for 6 months, you are only entitled to 50% of the tuition cost.

 

What is the dress code for the CNA School?

Scrub uniforms are required for in all classroom sessions, clinical rotations, and State Board Exams.  **Black scrubs are not allowed; however any other colors / prints are allowed.**

 

Are there any other fees that I will have?

 $100 State Board Skills Testing, $55 for the online Written Exam.

 $85 to the Washington State Dept. of Health for CNA license.

 

Does Mary Ann’s CNA Training School offer job placement?

We do job placement, but with Mary Ann’s 50 plus years experience as an instructor we have worked with over many facilities that call us on a weekly basis and let us know how many CNA’s they are hiring. On top of the many facilities we also work directly with many private in home care agencies that are always looking for CNA’s.
